Drama as Mubende LC5 Chairman Goes Bare Knuckles With Opponent During Joint NRM Campaigns

Drama unfolded at Bujaala Village in Butoloogo Sub County Mubende when  Mr.Micheal Muhereza Ntambi the district Chairperson for Mubende district publicly fought  his opponent Vincent Tumisiime Gahanga Kissanja during NRM joint campaigns.

According to a circulating video on social media, the scuffle happened as the two met at Bujaala village on July 4 .

In the video, Kisanja is seen storming the meeting that was organised by Ntambi and accused him of illegally holding campaigns in Butoloogo, having  failed to design his campaign schedule as had been   requested by the  NRM district executive committee.

"You are not supposed to hold any campaign meeting in this place because you refused to avail your campaign program to the office of the RDC and the NRM district executive committee. So you are in a wrong place because my program and other candidates whom we agreed clearly tells where we are suppossed to be today," Kisanja said.

Amidst verbal exchange with voice from locals, Ntambi is seen pushing Kisanja forcing him to leave his meeting.

Kisanja who had moved with his counterparts including Ali Ayebazibwe and Alex Pius Ssengonzi with a public address system condemned  the actions  of the LC5 chairperson.

"You have all seen how the  district chairperson behaves and I want to tell you that he is not supposed to be here today because he failed to design his program. I want to request you that on July 24 vote for Kisanja."

According to Ntambi, Kisanja and his team  had earlier tried to sabotage his meeting at Bujaara Village but residents disciplined him .

"He came and found us seated in a circular form and jumped into the middle and stated shouting. Residents slapped him and it is me who stopped them from fighting him."

The chaos sparked reactions on social media with some commentators saying joint campaigns will cause more chaos.
