Huawei Technologies Uganda has announced the launch of its 2025 Campus Recruitment Program, an initiative designed to identify, nurture, and recruit exceptional university finalists and recent graduates into the ICT industry.

The highly anticipated program is set to take place on July 2, 2025, at the Central Teaching Facility of Kyambogo University, starting at 10:00 AM.

Operating under the theme “The Sky is the Limit” and the slogan “A Better U for a Better Uganda”, the program reaffirms Huawei’s commitment to empowering Uganda’s youth and fostering digital transformation across the country.

It targets undergraduate and postgraduate students from various universities nationwide, offering them a rare opportunity to engage directly with industry leaders, explore exciting career pathways, and join Huawei’s innovative mission.

Huawei Technologies, a global leader in ICT infrastructure and smart devices, has long championed digital inclusion and sustainable development through strategic partnerships and capacity-building initiatives in Uganda.

This recruitment initiative is part of the company’s broader strategy to support the growth of Uganda’s tech community by equipping young professionals with essential tools, knowledge, and experience.

The recruitment day will feature interactive sessions where attendees can learn about Huawei’s global impact, sustainability agenda, and corporate social responsibility programs, including the Huawei ICT Competition, Seeds for the Future initiative, and the DigiTruck project—all aimed at uplifting local communities and driving sustainable innovation.

Huawei’s graduate program is structured to provide new employees with a comprehensive career development journey. Each recruit is paired with a personal mentor to ease the transition from campus life to the professional environment.

This mentorship component is designed to support and guide new hires as they take on responsibilities, participate in live projects, and progressively contribute to the company’s mission.

New employees will also benefit from practical, position-specific training tailored to areas such as Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, Procurement and Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Human Resources, and Public Administration.

In addition to in-house training sessions, Huawei offers access to advanced digital learning platforms such as the “iLearning” and “3MS” systems, which provide a wealth of industry knowledge, tools, and expert insights. These platforms support continuous self-improvement and ensure employees remain aligned with evolving global ICT trends.

Huawei’s 2025 Campus Recruitment Program underscores the company’s belief in developing homegrown talent to drive national growth and digital inclusion.

It is a call to action for ambitious graduates ready to shape the future of Uganda’s digital economy.
