Former Attorney General Peter Nyombi is dead. He passed on Sunday evening at SAS Clinic where he had been rushed after developing breathing problems.

His brother, Henry Mayega said Nyombi had just had a meal with him at a family get together.

"He started complaining of breathing problems and we rushed him to SAS Clinic where he was pronounced dead on arrival," Mayega said.

Nyombi died aged 64.
