The Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Richard Todwong, has issued a directive for the immediate handover of party offices to newly elected leaders at all levels.
According to the directive, the transition must take place without delay and be completed no later than this Saturday.
For districts where elections have not yet been concluded, Todwong instructed that the handover be carried out within one week after the polls.
"The handover process must be timely. For the few districts still pending elections, the transition should happen within a week after voting," Todwong said.
The newly elected office bearers are expected to hit the ground running by launching strategic mobilization efforts in preparation for the next phase of the party’s political activities.
“My office will provide continuous guidance to the new leaders as they settle into their roles,” Todwong added.
“They are expected to immediately begin mobilization efforts to strengthen the party at all levels.”
This directive marks a significant step in the NRM’s internal transition process, aimed at ensuring continuity, effective leadership, and momentum ahead of future political engagements.
The new leadership is expected to play a critical role in shaping the party's direction and mobilizing grassroots support.
The handover process, Todwong emphasized, should be orderly, transparent, and conducted in the spirit of unity and service.
With fresh leadership and strategic direction from the party secretariat, the NRM is positioning itself to navigate the next chapter of its political journey with renewed energy and focus.
