According to the party spokesperson Sharon Arach Oyat, the picking and returning of interest forms for SIG aspirants including youth, persons with disabilities, and older persons began on May 5 and will end on May 10, 2025. In constituencies where multiple aspirants express interest, party primaries will be held between May 15 and 17, 2025. This aligns with the national electoral roadmap issued by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), which sets SIGs village committee nominations for June 2–10 and voting from June 16–19.

UPC has called on its leaders and members to mobilize aggressively to secure SIG positions at the grassroots level.
