Police on Saturday morning said they are still investigating the exact cause of the accident in which Rajiv Ruparelia perished.

The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among has paid tribute to Rajiv Ruparelia who passed on in an accident on Saturday morning.

Rajiv, son to Kampala businessman, Sudhir Ruparelia died when a car he was driving hit a  pavement at Busabala flyover traffic lights after losing the vehicle’s control.

He was driving from Kajjansi towards Munyonyo when he lost control of the  Nissan GTR registration number, UAT 638L that after hitting the pavement, overturned and caught fire, killing him instantly.

In her condolence message, Speaker Among described Rajiv's death as a great loss to the country.

Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among and Thomas Tayebwa deputy speaker of Parliament have mourned the untimely death of Sudhir Ruparelia who died in a nasty road Accident.

"His untimely death has deprived our country of a young and enterprising mind who made significant contributions to our economy and the employment sector," Among said.

She sent condolences to businessman Sudhir Ruparelia, his family, staff and management of the Ruparelia Group.

The deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, equally condoled with the businessman over the death of his son.

"It is so disheartening to learn of Rajiv Ruparelia’s death in a fatal accident last night. It is hard to comprehend," he sai.d

" He was full of life and loved this country with all his heart. Like his father, he was an accomplished entrepreneur with a big heart for humanity."

Police on Saturday morning said they are still investigating the exact cause of the accident in which Rajiv Ruparelia perished.
