VIDEO: Bobi Wine urges prayers for helpless Ugandans

Kyadondo east legislator Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has called upon the church to pray for the many helpless Ugandans who have been violated by security operatives.

Kyagulanyi was speaking during his first mass at his parish cathedral our Lady of Good Counsel in Gayaza where tolerance was emphasised if the country is to go through the tough political times marred with numerous violations.

“So many things have happened, but excluding me, there are so many of my colleagues who have not been talked about like me, they were beaten, they are in hospitals and others rotting away in prison,” Bobi Wine said.

The main celebrant, Rev Fr Jude Makanga called for unity, and dialogue amid diverting political ideologies. The church is against the recent incidents of violence that have not only befallen their legislator but many others with divergent political views.

“The problem is not in the colour, but in the heads. You beat someone because he is in different color, what are you beating? The colour or the person? My view is that if you want to beat someone for their color, tell them to remove the T-shirt then cane it,” Fr Makanga said.
