The President of Togo, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, has arrived in Uganda for an official visit.
The visit was confirmed by the Presidency on Tuesday.
"I welcomed His Excellency Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, the President of Togo, who is here on a working visit," President Museveni confirmed via his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
President Museveni said he and President Gnassingbé discussed various topics of mutual interest, including regional security.
"We discussed issues of mutual interest between our two countries and regional security," President Museveni noted.
President Gnassingbé last held a similar visit in 2023 when President Museveni invited him to a dinner at State House in Entebbe.

At that time, both leaders emphasized the importance of collaboration and sharing experiences to tackle the challenges not only faced by Uganda and Togo but by all African nations.
“I came to hold deep discussions with President Museveni on matters of security and terrorism and how we can combine efforts in dealing with the challenges." Gnassingbe said in 2023.
