Journalist detained over allegations of trafficking people

Dean Saava Lubowa a journalist-turned businessman has been arrested and is currently detained at CPS Kampala.

Saava who deals in the business of labour export was arrested today on offences of human trafficking and obtaining money by false pretence.

This is after 12 claimed that he took their money on pretence that he was to get jobs abroad, but he disappeared thereafter.

We understand that eight other girls who ended up in Middle East are stranded.

This is not the first time Saava who worked at NTV, NBS and BBS TV before, is being arrested.

In March this year, he was detained over similar charges.
