Speaker of Parliament Anita Among has hosted a high-level delegation from Eswatini, led by Deputy Speaker Madala Mhlanga and Auditor General Timothy Matsebule.
The visit follows the successful conclusion of the 5th African Organisation of Public Accounts Committees (AFROPAC) Assembly, which Uganda was honoured to host.
According to Speaker Among, the discussions centered on "fostering stronger collaboration between our National Assemblies, sharing best practices in parliamentary oversight, and enhancing accountability mechanisms."
This move aims to strengthen ties between the two nations and promote good governance.
Among also took the opportunity to introduce her guests to Uganda's world-renowned coffee, saying it's "a true symbol of our rich agricultural heritage."

This gesture highlights Uganda's commitment to showcasing its unique cultural and economic offerings.
The visit underscores the importance of international cooperation in promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance.
As Speaker Among noted, the discussions will help to strengthen the relationship between the two nations and promote shared values of democracy and accountability.
