Members of the Democratic Party (DP) in Mityana District are mourning the loss of their former chairman, Kalyango Experito Musisi, widely known as Digito, who passed away on Tuesday at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala after a battle with cancer.
He was estimated to be between 70 and 75 years old.
Kalyango was a resident of Kajambula Village in Kiyinda, Mityana District. His passing has sent shockwaves through the DP fraternity and other political circles in Mityana and beyond.
He was respected for his unwavering commitment to democracy, justice, and dedicated service to his community.
Among those expressing their grief is Richard Lumu, the Member of Parliament for Mityana South, who described Musisi as “a pillar of truth and a fearless advocate for justice.”
“He was the guiding intellect of DP, always leading with wisdom and maturity. His mature approach to politics made him the strategic mind behind the party’s initiatives,” Lumu added.
