Residents of Buwekula South constituency in Mubende are set to receive free medical services in an upcoming medical camp, an initiative championed by Dedan Mubangizi.
The program aims to bridge the gap in healthcare access, especially in rural areas where government health facilities are limited.
The first medical camp will take place at Kitenga Primary School in Rwamashengero-Kayebe Subcounty from March 22 to 23, while the second will be held at Kisenyi Playground in Kitenga Subcounty from March 24 to 25 this year.
Residents will receive a wide range of free medical services, including ultrasound scans, eye screening and treatment, blood pressure and diabetes tests, dental care, and other essential healthcare services.
Mubangizi, who has been actively involved in community development, expressed his commitment to improving healthcare services in Buwekula South.
“My vision is to see well-equipped health centers across the constituency to ensure my people receive quality medical care,” he stated.
Although not yet the area MP, Mubangizi has been making a tangible impact.
In July 2024, he organized a similar medical camp in Kibyamirizi, where over 10,000 individuals received free treatment.
His efforts also extend beyond healthcare, as he has donated an ambulance and supported the construction of schools.
As he prepares to contest for the Buwekula South parliamentary seat in the 2026 general elections, Mubangizi remains focused on serving his people. “Providing essential services to my community is my priority. I will continue to do even more when given the mandate,” he affirmed.
His philanthropic work has earned him admiration among residents, positioning him as a strong contender in the upcoming National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries and the general election.
Known for his philanthropic efforts, Mubangizi has impacted lives in Buwekula South through initiatives that address both immediate needs and long-term development.
