A group of women golfers from Entebbe Golf Club, led by their captain Jovia Tugume, has launched a charitable initiative to support mothers and female patients at Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital.
The golfers donated essential maternal supplies, including buckets, soap, and sanitary pads, to assist vulnerable patients in need.
The initiative, now set to become an annual event, aims to provide long-term support to women facing hardship.
"I was delighted to join my fellow women golfers in visiting and supporting vulnerable mothers at Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital," Tugume said.
"Uniting people for a common cause is essential, and I am grateful to my fellow lady golfers for their support in this important endeavour."
Charity Tushabomwe, one of the participating golfers, echoed Tugume’s sentiments.

"As golfers, we are often seen as privileged, but we want to use our platform to give back to the community. This initiative is close to our hearts, and we are committed to making a difference in the lives of these vulnerable mothers."
Dr. John Bosco Nsubuga, director of Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital, expressed gratitude for the golfers' generosity.
"We appreciate the support from the female golfers. These donations will go a long way in helping us provide better care for our patients. Their kindness and commitment to giving back to the community are truly commendable."
The initiative highlights the power of community-driven efforts and the meaningful change that can come when individuals rally behind a shared cause.
The golfers' dedication to supporting vulnerable mothers is set to leave a lasting impact on those in need.
