I'm going to court- Moses Nsereko

Moses Nsereko, an independent candidate in the just concluded Kawempe North MP by-election, has announced his intention to challenge the election results in court.
The by-election, which concluded on Thursday, saw National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate Elias Nalukoola achieve a decisive victory.

Nalukoola secured 17,764 votes, significantly outpacing his nearest competitor, Faridah Nambi from the NRM, who garnered 8,593 votes. In contrast, Nsereko received only 32 votes.
After the results were announced, a visibly disappointed Nsereko expressed his dissatisfaction with both the election process and the outcome, pledging to take legal action.
"I'm going to court. The court will decide the rest. Anyone seeking justice should go to court, right? Unless you expected me to resort to force here. I'll let the court determine how things will unfold," Nsereko stated.
Nsereko had lost the NUP nomination to Nalukoola during the primaries but chose to run as an independent candidate, similar to Muhammad Luwemba Lusswa.
Throughout his campaign, Nsereko employed a dramatic approach to solicit votes and confidently asserted that he would win, often claiming that while Nalukoola had the NUP endorsement, he had the backing of the electorate.
However, the election results were far from what Nsereko had hoped for, as he ended up with just 32 votes.
Nalukoola's victory means he will take over the position previously held by Muhammad Ssegirinya, who passed away in January of this year.
