This Edition will run for 100 days, from February 1st to May 12th, 2025, but its impact won’t end there.

Often times, the conversations surrounding climate change activism has seen various campaigns, movements with a number going out to holding placards, marching, and calling out for immediate environmental action and more.

David Bujjadda, an agrometeorologist and graphic designer has however set out to rewrite this narrative using more unconventional methods that combined his expertise in climate science with his creative skills.

Following the success of the first edition, Bujjadda returns with '100 Days of Climate Activism' Edition 2, aiming to take his efforts even further.

In the first edition, he made it his mission to break down complex climate change issues into simple, visually engaging messages that anyone could grasp and act upon.

For 100 days, he posted daily graphic designs on social media, raising awareness about climate change in a way that was fun, easy to understand, and visually striking. This time, however, he is taking things to the next level.

The main objectives of Edition 2 are to build on what was achieved in the first season, but with a broader reach.

Through the use of graphic design, Bujjadda will continue to simplify climate change concepts, making them not only easy to understand but also engaging and fun.

The visuals will address key issues such as the impact of climate change, sustainable living, policy advocacy, nature conservation, and community action, all aimed at igniting interest and encouraging everyday climate action.

The campaign will also focus on inspiring long-term behaviour change. Beyond just raising awareness, Bujjadda wants people to take small, sustainable actions in their daily lives.

Whether it's adopting eco-friendly choices, reducing waste, or conserving energy, the campaign encourages everyone to make tangible changes that can collectively have a big impact on the planet.

For the youth, the campaign will visit schools every 20 days, involving students in discussions about climate change and encouraging them to launch eco-friendly initiatives such as tree planting and recycling programs.

In addition, the campaign will make a concerted push to expand its media presence. This time, the campaign is going beyond social media, partnering with radio and television stations to reach an even wider audience. The aim is to ensure that climate change isn’t just a topic for online communities but is part of the broader public conversation.

At the heart of the season is a large-scale climate activism walk, which will bring communities together to take action. Participants will receive tree seedlings to plant in their neighbourhoods, reinforcing the campaign’s focus on nature conservation and collective action.

The walk will be a symbolic gesture, a way to turn awareness into action, while amplifying the campaign’s core message: everyone has a role to play in addressing climate change.

This Edition will run for 100 days, from February 1st to May 12th, 2025, but its impact won’t end there.

After the campaign, Bujjadda plans to continue visiting schools and media houses, ensuring that the message reaches as many people as possible. Climate change doesn’t stop at the end of the campaign, and neither will the efforts to raise awareness.

The goal is to keep pushing for climate action year after year, hoping to build a lasting network of climate advocates who will continue the conversation well beyond the 100 days.

Unlike the first edition, which largely relied on social media, edition 2 will take the campaign into new spaces and engage people from all walks of life. Partnerships will play a key role in this, and while no formal partnerships have been secured yet,

Bujjadda is open to collaboration, whether through media houses, environmental organisations, or other like-minded partners. One thing is certain: climate change is a cause that Bujjadda is deeply committed to, and through 100 Days of Climate Activism, he hopes to inspire others to take action, no matter how small.

His work continues to demonstrate how individual passion and expertise can come together to create meaningful, lasting change. Whether it’s through a simple graphic design or a community walk, his message remains clear: climate action begins with us all.
