Tayebwa commissions reconstructed Ndurumo primary school blocks in Mitooma

The deputy speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa who is also Ruhiinda North member of parliament has commissioned newly reconstructed Ndurumo primary school with 9 blocks.

The primary school with an enrollment of over 500 learners has been struggling since 2000 before it was officially closed last year to pave way for reconstruct of better structures.

The deputy speaker on Friday led a team from Nouns DAO Ochains community through Davins Oyesigye a former pupil to commission the 9 blocks constructed and funded by the Nouns DAO ochains community at the primary school.

According to the deputy speaker who applaunded the funders for the gesture, this school will boost the morale of parents and learners to have their children attain education.

"We are grateful for Nouns and Davin for this gesture, many people had thought negatively about this offer but here we are with a beautiful school" Tayebwa said.

Tayebwa however challenged the achool headteacher to prove performance so he is retained and failure to performance will lead to transfer.

"Mr. Headmaster, please perform, we want good performance if you don't prove worth then we are sorry, so DEO take note" He added.

According to the Mitooma district education Officer Peace Barungi, "the primary school becomes part of the primary schools that will feed the upcoming seed school and skills center in Rwoburunga subcounty this will enable enrollment."

The Rwoburunga subcounty and community has been tasked to maintain the school structures and furniture to keep the standard of the school.

The school also has got a day care center amd stakeholders hope it is expanded and a boarding section established due to long distances traveld by learners.
