Sudhir Ruparelia Awarded Distinguished Order of the Crested Crane at 39th NRM/A Victory Day

In a moment of national pride and recognition, Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, one of Uganda's most esteemed entrepreneurs and philanthropists, has been awarded the Distinguished Order of the Crested Crane (Grand Officer) by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Uganda, during the 39th NRM/A Victory Day Anniversary celebrations held on January 26, 2025, in Mubende District.
This prestigious honor, conferred in accordance with the National Honours and Awards Act (2001, as Amended), is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and service in both public and private sectors.

Through his hospitality ventures, notably Speke Resort Munyonyo, he has hosted significant international events, including the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in 2007 and the NAM and G77+ China Summits. These contributions were among the reasons cited for his latest honor.
This is not the first time Dr. Ruparelia's contributions have been recognized. He previously received an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Uganda Pentecostal University and the Golden Jubilee Independence Medal for his exceptional investment services.
