Museveni promises to investigate Busoga boda boda killings

Presidentย Museveni wrapped up his final day of the PDM zonal tours in Busoga with a message of hope and resolve.
The president acknowledged the growing concern over the increasing number of boda boda riders being killed in various parts of Busoga sub region and vowed to take action to uncover the root causes behind these tragic deaths.

โI understand the fear and the pain many of you face. It is unacceptable that boda boda riders, who play a crucial role in the economy, are being killed,โ Museveni said.
โI will personally ensure that an investigation is launched to identify those responsible and the reasons behind these senseless killings.โ
The presidentโs pledge comes as a ray of hope for the boda boda community, who have long expressed concerns about their safety on the roads and in their daily operations.
Museveni assured the riders that the government would not tolerate any form of violence against them and would take swift measures to protect their lives and livelihoods.
Museveni also stressed the importance of unity and cooperation among boda boda riders, urging them to work together to improve their security.
"Itโs not just about police intervention; we need to strengthen community ties and ensure that we are vigilant about the safety of our colleagues," he added.
