Parliament Adjourned Until January 21
The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, has adjourned Parliament until January 21, 2025, to allow sectoral committees to process budget framework papers for the 2025/2026 financial year.
This decision was made after Parliament paid tribute to the late Kawempe North MP, Muhammad Ssegirinya.
According to Speaker Among, the next two weeks will be crucial for the committees as they engage with various entities to finalise the budget framework papers.
"Between now and January 21, sectoral committees will be meeting with different entities to process their budget framework papers for the year 2025/2026," she explained.
This adjournment will provide the necessary time for the committees to thoroughly review and finalise the budget framework papers, ensuring that they are comprehensive and aligned with the country's development priorities.
