Katikkiro mourns the death of Ssegirinya
The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has expressed sadness following the death of Muhammad Ssegirinya Muhammad, the Member of Parliament for Kawempe North.
Mayiga described the loss as devastating, particularly given the young age of the deceased, who passed away before completing his first term in Parliament.

In a statement, the Katikkiro extended his deepest condolences to the late MP's family, including his mother, children, and widow.
"Our deepest condolences go to his relatives, mother, children, widow, and the people he represented in Parliament and the country," Mayiga said.
Ssegirinya, who had shown great promise in his political career, was known for his vibrant presence in Parliament and dedication to his constituents.
His death leaves a significant gap, not only in his family but also within the political landscape of Uganda.
The Katikkiro further prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved family, adding, "It’s so wonderful! We pray that the Lord will console you and have mercy on the deceased."
The Buganda Kingdom and the country at large are mourning the loss of a promising young leader whose potential was cut short.
