Alien has been in the news recently, but not for positive reasons.

On Tuesday night, he and his team were involved in a confrontation with security personnel at Enkuuka in Lubiri, and the following day, they clashed with the crew of fellow artist Pius Mayanja, known as Pallaso, at the Empele Festival in Buloba.
In light of these incidents, some political analysts had questioned Mpuuga's choice to align himself with Alien, given the singer's troubled history.
However, during a press conference on Friday, the Nyendo-Mukungwe MP asserted that individuals like Alien should not be harshly judged; instead, he aims to help guide him toward better behavior.
"We have so many allies with different characters. We are alive to their situations, which is why as leaders, we cannot ignore these young people. These are young and talented people" Mpuuga said.
The former Leader of the Opposition expressed that society has overlooked artists and young people like Alien, emphasizing that this week's events highlight this neglect.
"They have been ignored by society. In fact, their exhibition over the week is a confirmation of the fact that they have been ignored and therefore they have chosen their own way," he said.
Mpuuga noted that the DA will not turn away individuals based on their characters; instead, the organization aims to rehabilitate them and help them become valuable members of society.
"I am here to inform you that we are not going to give up on them. We are not going to give up on Mr Mulwana and others like them. We have a history of rescuing them and some of his ilk have turned into very important citizens. They will not be the first to be rescued. We have rescued many of his ilk. Some of them.have even assumed very important national offices." he said
Last month, Mpuuga signed a cooperation agreement with Alien Skin, one of Uganda's emerging music talents.
He explained that this memorandum is a strategic initiative aimed at promoting democratic values in Uganda and fostering inclusivity at all levels of society.
“Our collaboration with Alien Skin is not just about interests but about aligning with individuals who share our values of transparency, equity, and the promotion of democratic principles,” Mpuuga stated last month.
This agreement was finalized just days after Alien Skin and his bodyguard were arrested for allegedly assaulting medical staff and security personnel at St Francis Hospital, Nsambya.
The agreement sparked debate among political analysts and the public due to Alien's history of "violent" behaviour.
Mpuuga maintained that the Democratic Alliance was willing to collaborate with anyone dedicated to enhancing the welfare of Ugandans, irrespective of their personal traits.
