Mityana: Man kills friend he found making love with his wife
The deceased had been invited for Christmas at the suspect's home.

Police in Mityana have arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his friend to death after finding him making love with his wife in a coffee plantation.

According to the Wamala region police spokesperson, Superintendent of Police, Racheal Kawala, Edward Ssekiwunga, 48 had been invited to enjoy Christmas with the family of Peter Bafirawala at Busaata Kyamagemule village, Kalangaalo sub county in Mityana district.

“It is alleged that on Christmas, Bafirawala invited the deceased together with other people for Christmas party at their home. The deceased first went to Kalangalo to watch a football match and later proceeded to  the suspects home at around 11pm  but the suspect was already sleeping ,so he decided to  move out with the wife to the suspect,” Kawala said.

“When the suspect woke up and realized that his wife was not around he became suspicious and followed them and found the deceased and his wife allegedly making love in the coffee and plantation.”

Police says Bafirawala then stabbed both with a knife inflicting serious injuries.

After the incident  both the suspect and wife fled the scene.

“The deceased was discovered in the morning in a very critical condition in the plantation  by a child  who later alerted the parents .He unfortunately succumbed to the injuries while being rushed for treatment.”

Kawala said police visited and documented the scene while the deceased’s body was found with stab wounds.

It was taken to Mityana hospital mortuary for postmortem while the suspect is currently on the run but efforts to arrest him are underway.

Kawala said the suspect’s home has also  been destroyed by the angry mob.
