The National Fellowship of Born Again Christians has launched a Shs23 billion fundraising drive to construct its headquarters in Kiwanga, Mukono District.

The proposed seven-story structure, to be named Balokole Building, is expected to take four years to complete.

It will include prayer spaces, offices, conference halls, and accommodations for visitors attending fellowship activities.

Archbishop Moses Odong, who spearheaded the drive, called for unity among Born Again Christians across the country.

“I urge Born Again believers to remain united, especially as we push for this project to create a home for our community,” he said.

Bishop Richard Magongo, the Fellowship’s spokesperson, emphasized that the accommodations would maintain strict standards. .

“We shall not allow people to misbehave while residing in our facilities,” he stated.

Magongo also appealed to the government for support, noting that other religious groups have received assistance to establish their institutions.

“We need funds to kick off this project. Other religions have constructed their own homes, like Mapeera for Catholics and Church House for Anglicans,” he said.

The initiative marks a significant step towards establishing a central hub for Born Again Christians in Uganda, fostering unity and growth within the community.
