Ugandans lose at World Youth Boxing Championships in Hungary

The three Ugandan representatives at the ongoing World Youth Championships in Hungary were given a baptism of fire after losing all their games in the preliminary rounds.

Team Uganda’s Captain Reagan Musoke who won Silver at the Africa Youth championships in Morocco in May lost by unanimous decision to Thailand’s Sukthet Sarawut in Hungary.

Like they were all reading from similar scripts Mazida Bunya and Odoch John Fisher also lost unanimously to Croatian and Azerbaijan opponents respectively.

Bunya also went the distance but lost on points to Croatia’s Jezek Noa in the 69kg welter weight category, while Khasmetovu Maksud of Azerbaijan beat Odoch John Fisher in the 49kg Light Fly weight.
