Bobi Wine driver shot dead in Arua, MP Zaake arrested

Featured

Kawuma Yasin, a driver to Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine, has been shot dead following chaos in Arua Municipality where final campaigns to replace slain legislator Ibrahim Abiriga, had just climaxed.

According to our reporter, the incident happened after a group of supporters to Independent- Bobi Wine- backed candidate Kasiano Wadri, collided with supporters of NRM candidate Nusrah Tiperu and chaos ensued.

It took effort from Police to disperse the two groups with tear gas and live bullets. It is one of the bullets that tore through the flesh of Kawuma, who was seated in Bobi Wine’s Tundra car.

“Police has shot my driver dead thinking they've shot at me. My hotel is now cordoned off by police and SFC,” Bobi Wine said.

It is not clear who shot the driver, but we can reliably confirm he died on spot.

Meanwhile Police in Arua are holding Mityana Municipality Legislator Francis Zaake Butebi.
