Iran launches barrage of missiles at Israel
Israel's emergency services say there are currently there are no reports of serious injuries following Iran's missile attack on Israel.

A spokesperson for Magen David Adom says emergency medical technicians and paramedics have been deployed to search "several sites where reports of rocket strikes have been received".

BBC | Iran has launched a missile attack on Israel - the Israeli military says around 180 missiles were fired, most of which were intercepted.

No injuries have been reported so far and Israeli authorities say civilians can leave bomb shelters. Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari says "this attack will have consequences".

Israeli troops have invaded Lebanon, in what the Israeli military calls a "limited, localised and targeted" ground operation against Hezbollah.

On Tuesday morning, an Israeli security official told the BBC there had been "no clashes" yet - but a military spokesman later told people in around 25 Lebanese villages to evacuate.

The Lebanese prime minister says his country is facing "one of its most dangerous phases", and that one million people are displaced.

Ebrahim Azizi, the head of Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, says on Iranian state TV that this was the first wave of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' attacks.

He says Israeli “military centres and facilities were our targets, but the attacks might have lead to civilians being hit as well due to possible miscalculations”.

Azizi says if Israel “makes a mistake” again, there is going to be a second wave which will be “even more destructive”.

He adds that according to Iran’s assessments, Israel “cannot retaliate” to Iran’s attack tonight.
