Suzan Magara Murder Case: Key Witness Testifies Against Accused
In a significant turn of events in the Suzan Magara murder case, a key witness has provided compelling evidence during court proceedings.
Testifying before Judge Alex Ajiiji, Robert Icool, 22, presented photos and videos depicting the accused and the land acquired with money they extorted from the Magara family.
"I captured images and footage of the locations relevant to this case, including where Suzan's body was found," Robert stated.
His testimony highlighted the land owned by the nine accused, which is reportedly located in Buikwe, Gomba, and Luweero.
As the courtroom absorbed the gravity of his evidence, Icool displayed photographs of two primary accused,
Abubakar Kyewolya and Yusuf Lubega, taken at the CID headquarters in Kibuli.
“This land, purchased with the money extorted from the Magara family, is crucial to understanding their motive,” he explained.
The witness further detailed his footage of Budwa village, where the accused had harvested crops on the land.
"They cultivated rice for livestock, and by the time they were arrested, they had already built a house there," Icool noted.
Tension filled the courtroom as the families of the accused appeared visibly distressed. In the videos, the accused asserted their claim over the land, with Kyewolya identified as the main liaison in the sale to Godfrey, another figure connected to the case.
In a chilling account, Robert described how the accused directed authorities to another plot in Luwero, where they had constructed a house and a tomb intended for deceased Muslims.
“They expressed intentions to bury their dead there,” he revealed.
As the trial continues, the accused face serious charges of kidnapping and murdering Suzan Magara, a case that has drawn significant public attention.
Further testimonies and evidence are expected in the coming days as the court seeks to uncover the truth behind this tragic incident.
