PLU appoints new leadership for Rwenzori Sub-Region
The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has appointed new leaders to oversee its activities in the Rwenzori Sub-Region.
The announcement was made by PLU’s General Secretary, David Kabanda.
Key appointments include Godfrey Kabbyanga as the Regional Coordinator, with Gerald Ibanda Rwemulikya serving as Assistant Coordinator.
Mr. Hassan Baguma has been named Committee Secretary, and Mrs. Olivia Shabra is the new Publicity Secretary.
Other appointees include Mrs. Betty Tembe as Women Council Representative, Mrs. He wrote Dauphine as Youth Council Representative, Mrs. Evelyn Masika as PWDs Council Representative, and Mr. Joshua Muganzi as Elderly Council Representative.
“We are confident that this team will uphold the values of patriotism and work tirelessly to combat corruption and the misuse of public resources in the Rwenzori Sub-Region,"stated Kabanda.
The PLU leadership expressed optimism about the role the new team will play in the region's development.
“We believe these leaders will greatly contribute to engaging citizens and promoting socio-economic transformation in Rwenzori, fostering a more transparent and responsible governance,” Kabanda added.
The appointments are part of PLU’s broader strategy to enhance its presence in key regions of Uganda and advance its mission of promoting good governance and accountability.
