Former MP beaten by security details of unknown traditional leader; Reports
Former MP for Bunya East , James Kyewalabye Majegere has reported being beaten by guards of an unnamed traditional leader.
According to Kyewalabye, he was beaten last night by UPDF soldiers driving a Toyota double cabin registration number UAT 462X at 10:40 pm in an incident that happened around the Valley of Seeta opposite Victory Church along the Kampala- Jinja highway.
Majegere who recently crossed to National Unity platform NRM says he was returning from a function in Jinja and as he drove with his family, the convoy bypassed him , he veered off the road.
He says that as he drove back to the road, his vehicle was knocked several times before soldiers moved out and started beating him and the other occupants.
The former legislator says he is currently nursing wounds at Henrob Clinic in zana, along Entebbe road where he is experiencing pain on the back, hands, head and jaws.
He has since reported a case of assault to Seeta Police Station under SD reference 73/ 3/8/24.
