Ugandan investigative journalist 'abducted' by unknown people
Stanley Ndawula, the managing editor of The Investigator news website was last night reportedly abducted by unknown people from Bukoto, a Kampala suburb.
It is not yet clear whether he was abducted by people linked to local security agencies but by Saturday morning his whereabouts were still unknown.

Robert Ssempala, the coordinator of the Human Rights Network for Journalists (HRNJ) confirmed that Ndawula had gone missing.
"The CEO of the Investigator, Ndawula Stanley was last night kidnapped by unknown people at around midnight as he left a joint in Bukoto, Kampala. It is alleged he was arrested by ISO operatives. It's not known why he was arrested. His whereabouts remain unknown. Stanley has for a long time been involved in investigative reporting into crimes committed within the police force. Journalists, friends and family members are in a search for his whereabouts," Ssempala said.
Ndawula was last year arrested by police but was released without any charge.
