VIDEO: Indian Prime Minister Modi meets Museveni in Entebbe

The Indian Prime Minister Nerendra Modi has on Tuesday afternoon met President Yoweri Museveni after arriving for a two-day state visit in Uganda.

Modi who landed at Entebbe airport landed at Entebbe Airport at around 2pm was welcomed by Uganda’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Sam Kutesa before being driven to State House in Entebbe where he is currently holding a closed door meeting with Museveni.

The two leaders are expected to address the Indian community which has over 10,000 members in Uganda before giving a key note address to parliament on Wednesday.

He is expected to sign memoranda of understanding with the Ugandan government in various sectors including agriculture, ICT, defence and energy among others.

The Indian premier will end his two-day state visit on Wednesday before proceeding to South Africa where he will attend the BRICS(Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit.

Before coming to Uganda, Modi had been to Rwanda.
