Vipers SC sack coach Da Costa

Uganda Premier League giants have sacked their coach Miguel Jorge Da Costa.

In an official statement from the club’s management, they cited ‘restructuring process” as reason for his sacking.

“The Vipers SC management has today, the 17th July 2018 relieved its head coach Miguel Jorge Da Costa of his duties. This is part of Vipers restructuring process and preparation for the CAF club competitions and upcoming Uganda Premier League season,” the statement reads in part

“Vipers SC would like to thank Coach Da Costa for his commitment and service to the club and wishes him success in his career advancement going forward. A new coach will be announced soon... We remain One team, One dream,” the statement continues.

The Portuguese guided the club to their first premier league title in three years. He succeeded Richard Wasswa.
