Pursue the profession for personal dev't- Minister Musasizi tells journalists

State Minister of finance who also doubles as MP Rubanda East, Henry Musasizi  has called upon Kabale Journalists to use the profession for personal development.

This was during the delivery of his support of  shs5mllion to journalists a head of world press freedom day celebrations scheduled  that will be held in Kabale district.

The minister's contribution was delivered to the organizing committee by LC5 councilor for Bubaare Sub-coumty who also doubles as the

Secretary for social services in Rubanda district Obed Mutatina Kitabutuka, who was accompanied by Martin Turyagyenda,the political assistant to Minister Musasizi.

In his message, Minister Musasizi called on to the journalists to pursue their profession diligently for both personal development and the betterment of their families.

He also encouraged journalists to continue uniting and backing government programs by sharing constructive information.

He applauded  journalists for their initiative in forming the association, recognizing it as a valuable resourceful information

"I want to call on you not to only remain focused to your profession but rather use your profession t."

He  lauded journalists for their support of the Ruling National Resistance Movement Party and their efforts in promoting its initiatives through positive dissemination of information.

The minister  also commended their unwavering support during his tenure as the Rubanda East Member of Parliament and as a minister.

"I also want to thank you for always finding time in promoting government programs through your profession because if you were not doing positive reporting about government programs, they wouldn't be successful."

In response, Job Namanya, the organizing chairperson of the upcoming celebrations, expressed appreciation for Minister Musasizi's generous support.

Namanya highlighted Minister Musasizi's early commitment to the cause, emphasizing his role as not just a leader, but a compassionate friend dedicated to the advancement of his community across all sectors.

The event is expected to draw over 1000 attendees, with Minister of Presidency Milly Babalanda serving as the chief guest.

Ministers and Members of Parliament from the Kigezi region have already confirmed their attendance.

Keynote speakers for the occasion include Kira Municipality MP, brahim Ssemujju Nganda and Robert Ssempala, Executive Director of Human Rights Network for Journalists.
