Nabakooba orders Jinja medics, Muslim community to land board meeting

The Minister of lands, housing and urban development, Judith Nabakooba has tasked stake holders involved in the land disputes of Jinja regional referral hospital plot 31 -39 Baxi road Jinja to remain calm and patient as they await and attend the Uganda Land commissions meeting happening tomorrow to amicably find ways of solving the problem.

This follows work paralyzing yesterday at Jinja regional referral hospital as medics lay down tools to participate in a peaceful demonstration over contested land.

Clad in their medical attires, the medics blocked the main gate of the hospital.

Police Led by DPC Jinja Central Police Division heavily deployed in and around the hospital.

The contested land was last month handed to Jinja Muslim community by State Minister for lands Dr Sam Mayanja
