Moses Amanya of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has emerged as the 27th Guild President of Makerere University Business School (MUBS).

Amanya's triumph comes after a fiercely competitive three-man race, which saw him clinch a resounding victory with 1,685 votes.

The atmosphere on campus was charged with excitement and anticipation as students eagerly awaited the results of this pivotal election.

With Juma Wasswa Balunywa ruled ineligible to stand for the top guild seat, Amanya's chances were electrified.

Facing stiff competition, Amanya's closest contenders were Steward Chopre of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and Benedict Luswata of the Uganda Young Democrats (UYD).

Amanya's victory is a historic moment for the NRM. Despite several unsuccessful attempts in the past.
