Indian national knocks UWA warden dead, arrested

The territorial police of Bulisa District have arrested one Muhammad Mutolle, 30,  for knocking Mboa Francis Kambasu, 51, a Uganda Wild Life Authority (UWA) warden attached to the Bugungu wildlife conservation area.

It is reported that the incident happened on Tuesday at Bugoigo Waisoke Village Butiaba Sub County a long Buliisa Hoima road when Mutolle's vehicle, a Toyota Wish UBG 252F and Kambasu's motorcycle, a Bajaj Boxer M/C UFG 315K rammed into each other head-on resulting into the instant death of Kambasu.

" Our police officers quickly rushed to the scene, unfortunately, Francis ( Kambasu) had already died, we organized his body and took him to the mortuary pending a postmortem," Hakiza said

Hakiza says while the body was taken to Buliisa General Hospital for a postmortem, both motor vehicle and motorcycle were towed and parked at the police yard, meanwhile, Muhammad Mutolle was arrested for causing death and will be charged with reckless/ careless driving.

" Muhammad has been arrested on charges of reckless driving, and both the motorcycle and vehicle were taken to the police as investigations continue, it's not good to drive anyhow, especially on these main oil roads, expect a person to cross time" Hakiza cautioned.

Hakiza says as investigations go on more details will be availed to the media anytime.
