Journalists have been attacked at Busabala and several have lost equipment.
The journalists are at Busabala this morning to report on the scheduled Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) delegates conference called by party chairperson Ambassador Wasswa Birigwa.
Court had ruled that this delegates conference should not go ahead until further notice as internal party wrangles are resolved. The FDC has split into two factions identified as the Katonga and Najjanankumbi factions.
The Observer newspaper journalist Baker Batte's laptop has been stolen in the ensuing confusion.
Police have reportedly intervened are engaging several members of the group that attacked the journalists.
The incident continues a worrying trend where journalists attempting to report on a news story that involves members of the opposition are attacked.
