Royal Canadian Mounted Police recruits first Ugandan in history
The Federal and National Police force of Canada has recruited a Ugandan for the first time in the history of both countries.
Constable Frederick Mubiru became the first Canadian of Ugandan decent to join the RCMP-Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He was confirmed in a pass out ceremony attended by Uganda’s deputy head of mission in Canada Margaret Kyogire in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Constable Mubiru received the Cross Pistol badge after attaining 244 out of 250 score pistol shots and achieved the highest score in Applied Police Science in a class of25 cadets.
During the course, he was responsible for Chapel Choir programs, in charge of liaison of the troop physical training and responsible for troop fleet of vehicles.
