Cheptegei wins third gold medal for Uganda in Commonwealth games

Joshua Kiprui Cheptegei has won another gold for Uganda in the 10000m finals in the ongoing Commonwealth games in Gold Coast, Australia.

Following the medal he won early this week in the 5,000 metres, the runner has won a second one in the Men's 10,000m final on Friday afternoon.

He clocked a time of 27:19:62 to cruise to a comfortable victory.

This is the third gold medal for Uganda in the ongoing Commonwealth games following another won by Stella Chesang in the women 10,000 finals.

Other Ugandan medal winners are Stella Chesang (gold) and Mercyline Chelangat (bronze).
