Letshego donates 4000 reflector jackets to Traffic Police
Letshego Uganda has donated an assortment of 4000 reflector jackets to the Traffic Police directorate to help them while carrying out their mandate of enforcing traffic and ensuring safety for all road users.
The timing of the donation according to Letshego officials was particularly to cater for the impending festive season where traffic is expected to be high on the roads.

“We have over the years established a firm and long-standing partnership with the Uganda Police Force in respective corporate social responsibility endeavours. Specifically, for road safety, we started in 2018 and with the latest donation of 4000 reflector jackets, we hope they can be of great use to traffic officers as they marshal the highways especially during the forthcoming festive season,” said Giles Aijukwe, the Letshego Uganda CEO.
The Traffic Police director, Lawrence Niwabiine hailed Letshego for their generosity, noting that the donation will be of great importance while they carry out their duties on the road.
“Achieving lasting change in improved road safety requires government, private partners, civil society and the community to work together. I am particularly gratified with Letshego Uganda for their commitment to this cause and playing their part diligently having been our partners since 2018,”Niwabiine said.
The Traffic Police director added that the timing is a blessing because the festive season is when road travel numbers are at their highest and so are accident cases.
“The reflector jackets will enable our officers be visible from a far to maintain traffic rules and guidelines. These reflectors will immediately be dispatched to Regional Traffic Officers and stations countrywide.”
The Letshego Uganda CEO said the company will continue with its journey of transforming customers.
“We introduced the Digital Mall, an online platform that downloadable from Android, and iOS stores and is a simple, quick and reliable approach for our clients to access financial support from the comfort of their homes or offices in real time. These strides in digitization are intended to accentuate our service offering,” Aijukwe stressed.
