Mufti Mubaje praises Museveni for appointing more muslims to cabinet

The Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje has applauded President Museveni for appointing more Muslims to various national leadership positions, including the cabinet.

The remarks were contained in his congratulatory message to the newly appointed ministers and the speaker of Parliament and his deputy.

"The council is grateful that the number is steadily increasing compared to the past. And UMSC is patiently beseeching Almighty Allah that we achieve proportional appointments in future by His Grace,"said Mubaje.

"UMSC wishes to congratulate you on your appointment to high positions in our country. Indeed many out there were longing to occupy these seats. So it was Almighty God's favour upon you to come and serve His people."

He implored the appointed leaders to work to advance the country.

"You are assuming national service when Uganda like the rest of the countries worldwide are grappling with severe challenges resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. All these call for collective efforts without leaving any one behind,” the management noted.
