Police Launch Manhunt for Armed Attackers Who Shot Teacher and Pupil in Moroto
A shocking attack on a school in Loureepe village, Katikekile Subcounty, on April 30 2024 left two people injured sparking a police manhunt for the culprits.
According to eyewitnesses suspected armed Karamojong warriors attacked the home of Achak Paul, a teacher at Nakiloro Community School.

The joint security forces of Nakiloro responded to the scene and evacuated the injured duo to Moroto Regional Referral Hospital for treatment.
A team of detectives, accompanied by a police canine dog, was dispatched to the scene to conduct further investigations and trace the culprits.
According to Mike Longole, Karamoja Police Spokesperson, a manhunt is underway to apprehend the criminal elements responsible for the heinous act.
"We are working tirelessly to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice," Longole said.
The motive behind the attack is yet to be established, but police are exploring all possibilities.
The school community has been left in shock, and residents are calling for increased security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
As the investigation continues, police are urging anyone with information about the attack to come forward and assist in the pursuit of justice for the victims.
