Karimu Mwase, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner (RCC) of Lira City West Division, has been found dead under unclear circumstances, with his body dumped in a roadside trench along the Iganga–Bugiri highway.
His body was discovered early Monday and later transferred to Iganga General Hospital mortuary, where it awaits a postmortem examination.
The motive and details surrounding his death remain unknown.
