MP Nabeta Introduced in Lavish Traditional Ceremony
It is fresh start for Nabeta, who lost his first wife Sheila Gashishiri in the MV Templar boat accident on Lake Victoria in 2018

Igeme’s entourage, described as the "cream of Jinja," reflected the significance of the occasion, as family, friends, and community leaders gathered to celebrate the MP's next chapter.

Jinja South East MP Nathan Igeme Nabeta was today officially introduced by his fiancée, Allen Kabindi, in a colorful traditional ceremony held at Wanyange Lake Village, Kakira Town Council.

The ceremony drew notable dignitaries from Jinja and Busoga Kingdom, including Busoga Prime Minister (Katukkiro) Joseph Muvawala, his deputy Alhajji Osman Noor, MPs Alex Brandon Kintu (Kagoma North) and Zijjan David Livingstone (Butembe), and the several Resident District Commissioners (RDC).

Igeme’s entourage, described as the "cream of Jinja," reflected the significance of the occasion, as family, friends, and community leaders gathered to celebrate the MP's next chapter.

This comes six years after a tragic chapter in Igeme's life, when he lost his first wife Sheila Gashishiri in the MV Templar boat accident on Lake Victoria in 2018, which claimed over 30 lives.

Today’s event symbolises a fresh start for the legislator and his family.

The traditional introduction ceremony, locally known as Kwanjula, was a blend of cultural heritage and modern elegance.

Kabindi’s family welcomed Igeme and his delegation with warm hospitality, as they exchanged gifts and sealed the union in accordance with tradition.

Residents of Wanyange Lake Village praised the ceremony, calling it a historic event for their community. The vibrant celebrations showcased traditional dances, music, and a feast that reflected the rich culture of Busoga.

Further details about the ceremony shall come later
