Isano Francis, widely recognized for his talent as a photojournalist who captures unforgettable moments, celebrates a significant milestone today, the 20th of September 2024 as he graduates with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Mass Media from Victoria University.

Some of his most memorable frozen moments include the Kyabazinga of Busoga giving a high five to one of his subjects, the Katukkiro of Busoga carrying a gift during the Namugongo Martyrs march, and the MTN CEO, Sylvia Mulinge, with President Museveni, which earned him a gift from MTN.

Reflecting on his journey, Isano expresses gratitude for the enriching learning experience and the flexibility that Victoria University provided, which proved essential to his academic success. With a demanding work schedule as a photojournalist, finding a university where he could physically attend lectures full-time was a challenge. However, Victoria University became a beacon of hope, offering the flexibility he needed to balance both his professional commitments and academic pursuits.

"Because of the blended learning system at Victoria University I have managed to finish 3 years doing online classes, very hard but also better," he said giggling.

 

He encouraged young people who have busy jobs to consider enrolling with Victoria University for a flexible work-school balance.

"To the youth who are busy like me who think they can not complete education, there are opportunities that you can go to a university like VU, attain your education through completely 100% online classes, and exams, and finish your studies."

He recollects having to drop out of another university due to failure to do examinations because of the busy schedule his job presented.

"I studied the whole semester but I failed to do exams because I was in the field and I decided to leave because I could not manage."

As Isano Francis basks in the achievement of his Bachelor's Degree, his story serves as an inspiration to many particularly those balancing demanding careers with academic ambitions. His journey reflects the power of determination, adaptability, and the opportunities that flexible learning can offer.

While this milestone marks the end of one chapter, Isano is far from finished. With an eye on the future and a drive to keep growing, he's already setting his sights on further education.
