I recall my journeys on the bus as a child with my Mother to visit my maternal grandparents and my grandfather would proudly pull out a photo album to show us photos of him standing alongside his beloved Peugeot 504.
My maternal grandfather was a very tall man even in his old age, only now punctuated by a walking stick.
He was so tall that in the photos in the album, his waist was almost at the height of the roof of the Peugeot 504.
My mother still has that album. I should actually digitalise that album.

As Motorcenter Uganda launches the re-entry of the Peugeot into the Ugandan market, we reflect on the nostalgia associated with the Peugeot 504, and are reminded of a simpler time when the open road beckoned and every journey was an adventure.
Though the years may pass, the spirit of this iconic car lives on, reminding us of the enduring appeal of classic automobiles.
Now let us if the new models of Peugeot can live up to the memories. I know I shall get myself one.
