Court of Appeal to hold first upcountry civil appeals session in Gulu

The Court of Appeal is set to hold its first-ever upcountry session for civil appeals and applications in Gulu from September 25 to 27, 2024.

A total of 22 civil appeals and applications will be heard during the session, presided over by Justices Fredrick Martin Stephen Egonda-Ntende, Cheborion Barishaki, and Christopher Gashirabake.

According to a cause list signed by the Court's Registrar, Hellen Rukundo Owembabazi, 16 of the cases involve land-related disputes.

Other matters to be addressed include trespass, setting aside High Court orders, damages, stays of execution, contract disputes, and the validation of appeals.
