Nateete Gangsters Arrested After Brutal Robbery

Police in Nateete, working with the UPDF, have arrested a panga-wielding gangster following a violent robbery on Busega Road.

The victim, 30-year-old Emmanuel Kafeero, a resident of Masanda Zone in Kyengera Town Council, was ambushed by two men armed with a panga, four knives, and a metallic rod.

The attackers dragged him into a nearby swamp, where they tortured him and robbed him of his phone, Shs20,000 in cash, and packets of yogurt worth Shs700,000. He was held hostage until the suspects fled.

Kafeero reported the incident to Busega Police Station, prompting a swift operation by police and UPDF officers.

A case of aggravated robbery has been registered, and investigators have taken statements from the victim, witnesses, and the arrested suspect.

Authorities have called on the public to provide any information that could lead to the arrest of the second suspect.
