Raila supporters attacked by bees as Police officers retreat
As police officers that had kept fort at the “no go zone” Uhuru park retreated, Raila Odinga’s supporters were attacked by a swarm of bees believed to have been dumped at the premises by mystery men.
According to Kenyan media, the bees were allegedly dumped by masked men who arrived in a Canter and Subaru vehicles as Raila’s supporters started to gather.

The bees caused pandemonium in camp as supporters turned their guns on battling them, meanwhile police officers had already been withdrawn allegedly to avoid confrontation with Raila’s supporters.
Earlier, the Communications Authority of Kenya had switched off Citizen Television, Radio and NTV Kenya over the coverage the swearing-in ceremony.
Kenya’s opposition leader Raila Odinga is planning to have himself sworn in as an alternative president on Tuesday at Uhuru park.
Odinga challenged the result of the original August vote winning an unprecedented annulment, but then boycotted the court-ordered re-run in October handing victory to Kenyatta who won 98 percent of the vote but with a turnout of just 39 percent.
The ceremony — if it goes ahead — will put the opposition on a collision course with police and the government, with attorney general Githu Muigai warning in December that any “swearing-in” would be treasonous raising the possibility of Odinga’s arrest, a move that would heighten tensions.
