Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining order in the city's markets.

Acting Executive Director Frank Rusa made this clear in a recent post on his X platform, stating that "order in our markets is non-negotiable."

According to Rusa, the KCCA is enforcing the Markets Act, 2023, and Presidential Directives to ensure fairness and support low-income vendors.

Rusa also warned that illegal activities, such as unauthorized allocation of stalls, will not be tolerated.

"Illegal activities such as unauthorized allocation of stalls cannot be tolerated," he emphasized.

The KCCA's efforts to maintain order in the markets are part of a broader initiative to promote fairness and support low-income vendors. As Rusa noted, "Let's keep Kampala's markets organised."
